Park "Izgrev" in the district "Iztochen" came alive with children, music and interesting games and workshops, part of the eco-event "Green Creative Zone for Culture and Art". Various and interesting eco-initiatives were included in the varied program of the event. Children had the opportunity to plant microplant seeds in biodegradable buckets to continue their care at home.
Special participation in the event was taken by the children from the "Biljana" school, who presented a unique fashion show made of kraft materials, giving a personal example of how different packaging can be reused.
The other participation in the program of the event was by the children from DG "Happy Childhood", who showed their dances and songs about the Earth and autumn.
The students from the "Pencho Slaveykov" Unified School presented the mayor of the "East" district, Emil Rusinov, with a birdhouse made by them, with the wish that it be placed in the park. In June of this year, the school became part of the worldwide network of Eco-Schools, which includes 59,000 educational establishments in over 75 countries around the world.
"It is very pleasant that this event is taking place in the East region. Caring for nature and its preservation is important to me. I have always supported such events that set a personal and good example for children. I thank everyone who took part in the program and in the organization of this wonderful event," said Emil Rusinov.
The day was spent with many role plays about nature conservation and separate waste disposal.
For the finale, all present participated in the large eco-panel of caps, which they arranged in the form of a colorful rising sun.
The organizer of the event is the "Incubator" creative complex association with the support of "Iztochen" region - Plovdiv Municipality. Bio-degradable buckets, bags and gloves were provided courtesy of Bio Pack BG Ltd. The event is part of the "Green Culture - Green City" program of the "Plovdiv 2019" Foundation.
